H.E. Ling Rinpoche Continues Journey Through Singula to Padum, with Each Village Along Route Welcoming with Traditional Customs

H.E. Ling Rinpoche continued his journey to Zanskar.
Day 1 – On this first day in Shingula Padum, Zanskar, Rinpoche’s arrival was marked by deep devotion and a vibrant celebration.
From the high mountain pass of Shingula Top down to the valley floor of Padum, every village along the route welcomed Rinpoche with what they lovingly call Kalchor teams — traditional groups of boys and girls offering songs, dances, and heartfelt joy.
The drive from Manali to Padum normally takes 5–6 hours, yet Rinpoche took three full, unforgettable days, which were filled with blessings, teachings, and the warm, devoted spirit of Zanskar’s people.
Echoing through the valley were moving slogans:
“Long life to His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama!”
“Long life to His Eminence Yongzin Ling Rinpoche!”
“May the Buddhadharma flourish!”
“May peace and prosperity come to our region!”
At each village, Rinpoche gave short yet profound Dharma talks and bestowed oral transmissions of many sacred mantras. The people were overjoyed and deeply moved by his presence and blessings.
