H.E. Ling Rinpoche Visits Russia at the Invitation of Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia

During 15 – 31st July, H.E. Ling Rinpoche visited Russia at the invitation of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia. Rinpoche met with the Head Lama and Deputy Head Lama of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia and visited an estimated 17 different monasteries and centers in various locations, particularly in the Buryatia region. Rinpoche was very warmly received at large public gatherings where he gave teachings, talks and blessings for members of the local communities.
During the visit, Rinpoche officially handed over copies of the Mongolian Kangyur to several local monasteries on behalf of the Government of India’s Ministry of Culture. Rinpoche was invited to the Indian Embassy in Moscow, where he delivered a concluding talk at the Buddhist Thangka Exhibition and cultural program, organized by the Embassy and the United Religions.
