H.E. Ling Rinpoche arrived to a joyful welcome at London’s Heathrow Airport where he was greeted by representatives of the Office of Tibet, the President of the Tibetan Community in London, hosts and organizers from Rigpa London and Jamyang Buddhist Centre – FPMT, and local students and devotees. Rinpoche was then warmly received at Rigpa London.
H.E. Ling Rinpoche presided over and gave a talk as the Chief Guest, alongside Honorable Pema Khandu, Chief Minister, Assembly members of India, members of the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh, honorable members of the Central Tibetan Administration, and many distinguished guests, to celebrate the 90th birthday of His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama according to the Tibetan Lunar Calendar, as well as the 65th anniversary of His Holiness’ first teaching given in exile in Mon Tawang. The program was organized by the Monpa community at Theckchen Choeling, Dharamsala.
On September 7th, H.E. Ling Rinpoche presided over a Long Life Prayer Ceremony (Tenshug) offered to His Holiness the Dalai Lama by the Honorable Chief Minister Pema Khandu and the Monpa people of Arunachal Pradesh at His Holiness’ temple in Dharamsala, HP, India.
