H.E. Ling Rinpoche participated in the International Abhidhamma Divas Day alongside Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who offered Chivar Dana to Rinpoche and other senior monks from various Buddhist traditions. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the International Buddhist Confederation at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

H.E. Ling Rinpoche expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for the recognition of Pali as an Indian classical language. This important step honors the rich heritage of Buddhist teachings and the profound legacy of the Pali language in Indian history.

I am delighted to convey my warmest appreciation to the Government of India for recognizing Pali as a classical Indian language. This historic step acknowledges and honors India’s cultural heritage and supports the efforts to preserve the wisdom of the Buddhist canons for the benefit of future generations.

This is a momentous achievement for the preservation of linguistic heritage and promotion of the spiritual diversity of this great nation, India.
