H.E. Kyabjé Yongzin Ling Rinpoche, during his first visit to Zanskar, bestowed teachings and the Buddha Amitayus Long Life Initiation at Duzing Phodang Dadum.

The event was attended by over 10,000 people, including monks, nuns, dignitaries, and members of the general public.

H.E. Ling Rinpoche offered teachings on The Foundation of All Good Qualities at Karsha Monastery in Padum Valley in Zanskar, Ladakh. Rinpoche also gave Dharma talks and bestowed many precious oral transmissions of mantras.

At each place he visited—including the newly built Palace dedicated to His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama, Tagrinmo Monastery, the nearby nunnery, and several villages—Rinpoche gave short teachings and heartfelt advice, blessing the community with his presence and wisdom.

H.E. Ling Rinpoche continued his journey through Zankar.

Day 2: On the way with a glimpse into a truly unforgettable day – Purnay to Padum, Zanskar!

H.E. Ling Rinpoche’s arrival in Zanskar was marked by deep devotion and vibrant celebration.

From the high mountain pass of Shingula Top down to the valley floor of Padum, every village along the route welcomed Rinpoche with what they lovingly call Kalchor teams — traditional groups of boys and girls offering songs, dances, and heartfelt joy. 

The drive from Manali to Padum normally takes 5–6 hours, yet Rinpoche took three full, unforgettable days, which were filled with blessings, teachings, and the warm, devoted spirit of Zanskar’s people.

Echoing through the valley were moving slogans: 

“Long life to His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama!”

“Long life to His Eminence Yongzin Ling Rinpoche!” 

“May the Buddhadharma flourish!”

“May peace and prosperity come to our region!”

The people were overjoyed and deeply moved by Rinpoche’s presence and blessings.
