H.E. Ling Rinpoche was invited to join Baba Ramdev’s yoga camp alongside Shri Karshni Maharaj Ji and many other revered saints during the Maha Kumh Mela, an important Hindu pilgrimage celebrated approximately every 6, 12 and 144 years, correlated with the partial or full revolution of Jupiter and representing the largest human gathering in the world.
H.E. Ling Rinpoche expressed gratitude for the historic event and reminded everyone in attendance that we all share the oneness of humanity. Rinpoche then proceeded to share that he prays for a peaceful world where all living beings exist happily together and wished may there be a bright future for all.

H.E. Ling Rinpoche’s Message for 144th Maha Kumbh Mela and Sant Sammelan in Prayagraj, India
Respected religious leaders, saints, monastics, spiritual teachers, brothers and sisters,
It is a profound honor to join this sacred gathering at the Maha Kumbh Mela and Sant Sammelan, a celebration of timeless wisdom, spiritual unity, and humanity’s shared journey towards truth and enlightenment.
The Maha Kumbha Mela symbolizes purification, the transformative power of faith, and the interdependence of all living beings. Similarly, the Sant Sammelan provides a unique and powerful opportunity for saints and spiritual leaders to gather and share profound insights, encouraging our efforts for virtuous living and inner peace.
The principle of Ahimsa (non-violence) has been at the heart of our Indian spiritual heritage for thousands of years. Hinduism teaches that non-violence is the highest duty, encouraging us to see the world as one family and live in harmony with one another and nature. Likewise, the Buddha’s teachings on compassion and the Middle Way offer profound wisdom to transcend suffering and resolve conflicts through mutual understanding and dialogue.
In today’s world, faced with global conflicts, social injustices, and environmental crises, these values are more relevant than ever. Ahimsa inspires sustainable living and harmony, reminding us that lasting peace can only arise from love, respect, and compassion.
As we gather here at the Maha Kumbh Mela and Sant Sammelan 2025, let us reflect deeply on these eternal truths. May the spirit of Mahakumbha Mela and Santhsamelen inspire us to continue promoting the path of unity, non-violence, and spiritual awakening, for the benefit of all living beings.

H.E. Ling Rinpoche attended and spoke at the profoundly auspicious 144th Maha Kumbh Mela and Sant Sammelan in Prayagraj, India. Addressing thousands of saints and devotees with a talk on unity (ekta) and non-violence (ahimsa), Rinpoche emphasized his commitment to promoting interfaith harmony and universal values.
Rinpoche was honored to deliver a moving message from His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Sant Sammelan gathering.
The Maha Kumbh Mela, celebrated once in 12 years, carries immense spiritual significance, attracting millions of pilgrims and saints from across the world, sharing timeless teachings that transcend cultural and religious boundaries. This historic event in 2025 is the most auspicious of all the Maha Kumbh Melas in the past 144 years, due to a rare alignment of planets, according to Vedic astrology.
H.H. the Dalai Lama’s and H.E. Ling Rinpoche’s messages of unity and non-violence at this momentous event contributed to the collective aspiration for peace and harmony.

On the auspicious Je Tsongkhapa Day of Ganden Ngamchod, H.E. Ling Rinpoche commemorated the parinirvanas of Je Tsongkhapa and His Holiness Kyabjé Yongzin Ling Rinpoche, the Principal Teacher to His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama.
H.E. Ling Rinpoche was joined by the three reincarnations of Khensur Kagyurwa, Khensur Ugyen Tseten, Khensur Lobsang Palden, from Sera Jey at his residence in Dharamsala.

On Christmas Day, H.E. Ling Rinpoche participated in the Je Tsongkhapa Day (Ganden Ngamchod) prayer ceremony led by His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama, which included Tsog offerings to honor Je Tsongkhapa. The ceremony was held at the Main Tibetan Temple (Thekchen Choeling Tsuglagkhang) in Dharamsala.
