On July 9th, H.E. Ling Rinpoche concluded a full week of Dharma activities in Toulouse region of France, where he gave 4 days of teachings, including a commentary and oral transmissions on In Praise of Manjushri and Chanting the Names of Manjushri with a teaching on the 8 Verses of Thought Transformation and the Manjushri initiation, jointly hosted by Nalanda Monastery and Institut Vajrayogini-FPMT and held at Nalanda Monastery. Rinpoche also visited Nalanda Monastery, Dorje Pamo Nunnery and Institut Vajrayogini-FPMT, gave a talk and led the Chokhor Duchen Tsog offering and led His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 89th birthday celebration with local VIPs, students from Nalanda Monastery, Institute of Vajra Yogini-FPMT, the Tibetan and Himalayan community of Toulouse, and many devotees from around the world.

On 7th July, H.E. Ling Rinpoche led a gathering at Nalanda Monastery with the City Mayor & Deputy, local VIPs, representatives and devotees from Nalanda Monastery-FPMT, Institut Vajrayogini-FPMT, the Himalayan and Tibetan community of Toulouse, and people from many other European countries, who joined in a joyful celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 89th birthday.

On 3rd July, H.E. Ling Rinpoche began his Europe Tour and was welcomed at Toulouse airport in France, by the Geshes, Center Directors and Representatives of the Institute of Vajrayogini, Nalanda Monastery, Dorje Palmo Nunnery and the local Tibetan and Himalayan Region community. Rinpoche later arrived to a very warm welcome at Nalanda Monastery by the monastic and lay communities.

On 28th June, H.E. Ling Rinpoche was overjoyed that His Holiness’s knee surgery in the USA was very successful. Rinpoche extends his deepest gratitude and prayers to all those involved in His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s care. Rinpoche wishes His Holiness a full and most speedy recovery.

On 9th June H.E. Ling Rinpoche conferred the Buddha Amitayus Long Life Initiation in Portland, Oregon and enjoyed a traditional cultural performance by the local Tibetan community, hosted by the Northwest Tibetan Cultural Association.

On 8th June, H.E. Ling Rinpoche led and participated in an Interfaith Dialogue organized by the Tibetan Community of Portland, with a panel of esteemed representatives from the Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Christian religions. Rinpoche elucidated the Four Commitments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and emphasized the importance of cultivating compassion and Bodhicitta, especially at this time in the world.

On 5th June, H.E. Ling Rinpoche gave the Buddha Amitayus initiation with teachings and advice to the Tibetan and Mongolian communities and others at Sakya Monastery of Tibet in Washington Seattle, organized by Tibetan Association of Washington. Rinpoche also visited and gave a talk at Microsoft on 4th June.

On 1 – 2nd June, H.E. Ling Rinpoche led and joined a Vesak Day celebration in San Jose, California organized by the Vietnamese community, where he gave two days of teachings, a Shakyamuni Buddha initiation and participated in a procession to invite the Shakyamuni Buddha relic from Sri Lanka, along with representatives of different Buddhist traditions visiting from around the world and government officials from the local San Jose area.
