During 17-25th May, H.E. Ling Rinpoche visited Granada and Barcelona, Spain, where Rinpoche met with the local Tibetan Community and gave several LamRim teachings and initiations at Granada’s Nagarjuna C.E.T. Granada - FPMT and Osel Ling Centro de Retiros - FPMT and then Barcelona’s Casa del Tibet and Tara Centre.

H.E. Ling Rinpoche's European tour continued in Spain with visits to Madrid and Bilbao, where Rinpoche taught over several days during 9-14th May on the 8 Verses of Training the Mind and the Bodhisattva’s Jewel Garland, and conferred the Vajrasattva and Je Rig Sum Chig Thus (Chenrezig, Manjushri & Vajrapani) initiations at three centers, Centro Budista Jardín de la Compasión, Centro Nagarjuna Madrid - FPMT and Centro La Sabiduría de Nagarjuna - FPMT, who organized the visit.

On 6th and 7th May, H.E. Ling Rinpoche gave two days of teachings on Prajnaparamita and bestowed the Orange Manjushri initiation at Dharma Mati (Rigpa) in Berlin, Germany. Rinpoche also held a special meeting and talk with the Tibetan Community in Germany and later visited a hospice near Berlin.

Today is celebrated in the Elders' lineage as the holy anniversary of the incomparable Lord Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana. It is a precious opportunity for followers of the Buddhist teachings to engage in virtue, abandon negativity and strive in taming the mind, with a vast altruistic motivation, through recalling the story of Lord Buddha’s life and his exalted activities.

We should all make efforts to engage in activities that benefit others with a thought of heartfelt compassion.

H.E. Ling Rinpoche prays for all virtuous activities on this auspicious day to bear fruit and for all pure prayers to be swiftly accomplished. May all beings everywhere be free from suffering and attain the perfect peace and happiness of enlightenment.

On 29 and 30th April, H.E. Ling Rinpoche gave teachings on the 8 Verses of Thought Transformation, conferred a White Tara Long Life (Tsewang) Initiation, gave Refuge & Upasaka/Upasika Vows and had a special meeting with Tibetan and other local children in Munich, Germany, hosted by Aryatara Institut - FPMT. Rinpoche also gave a teaching on the Precious Human Rebirth at Tara Mandala in Landau an der Isar on 1st May.

On 21st April, His Holiness the Dalai Lama presented H.E. Ling Rinpoche with a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha during the Global Buddhist Summit in Delhi, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and International Buddhist Confederation (IBC).

On 21st April, H.E. Ling Rinpoche delivered a speech during the valedictory session at the successful conclusion of the first Global Buddhist Summit in Delhi, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and International Buddhist Confederation (IBC).

On 21st April, H.E. Ling Rinpoche attended Day 2 of the first Global Buddhist Summit in the morning, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC). The Chief Guest, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and many other Indian and international dignitaries were in attendance for this important inaugural event in Delhi, India.

On 20th April, H.E. Ling Rinpoche attended the Global Buddhist Summit organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) in Delhi, along with other distinguished guests including the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, who performed a ceremonial offering of robes (Chivar Dhana).

On April 13 - 18th, H.E. Ling Rinpoche visited Austria where he conferred a White Tara Long Life (Tsewang) initiation for the Tibetan Community of Austria in Vienna, gave teachings and commentary on the Foundation of All Good Qualities at Tibet Center Institute in Knappenberg, and gave Refuge Vows at FPMT’s Panchen Losang Chogyen Center, including a special Guru Puja and prayers with the students for the swift return of Lama Zopa Rinpoche. H.E. Ling Rinpoche was welcomed by the President and Vice President of the Austrian Buddhist Association and met with other dignitaries.

Some planned events in Austria had to be rescheduled to enable Rinpoche to attend the Global Buddhist Summit in Delhi. Rinpoche will resume his European teaching tour in Munich, Germany from April 26th, 2023.
